What is Safe Mode?

Safe Mode boots Android with every third-party app disabled, leaving only the system and pre-installed apps. It exists to answer one question: is a downloaded app causing your problem?

Usually you enter it by holding the power-off button on screen until "Reboot to safe mode" appears. If crashes or battery drain vanish in Safe Mode, uninstall recent apps one at a time; reboot normally to exit.
