What is NFC?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is the short-range radio behind tap-to-pay, transit cards and instant Bluetooth pairing. It works only within a few centimetres, which is its security feature.

Toggle it under Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → NFC. Google Wallet needs it on; leaving it enabled is low-risk since payments still require screen unlock.
