What is Wi-Fi 7?

Wi-Fi 7 is the newest Wi-Fi generation: multi-gigabit speeds, lower latency, and Multi-Link Operation that lets a device use several frequency bands simultaneously for reliability.

You need both a Wi-Fi 7 router and Wi-Fi 7 devices to benefit, and a fast broadband plan for it to matter beyond in-home transfers. For most homes it's a "nice on your next upgrade", not an urgent buy.
