What is SSID?

The SSID is simply your Wi-Fi network's name — the label that appears in the list when devices scan for networks.

You can rename it in your router's admin panel under wireless settings. Avoid putting your surname or flat number in it, and note that renaming disconnects every device until they rejoin with the new name.
