What is Activity Status?

Activity status is the green dot or "online / last seen" indicator showing contacts when you're using an app. Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and Discord each have one.

Every major app lets you hide it in privacy settings — usually reciprocally, so hiding yours hides others' from you. Turning it off removes the quiet pressure to reply the moment you're seen online.
