What is Password Manager?

What is Password Manager? - illustrated definition card

A password manager stores every login encrypted behind one master password (or your fingerprint), generates strong unique passwords, and autofills them — making "a different password for every site" actually practical.

Built-in options (iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager) are excellent and free; dedicated apps add cross-platform syncing and sharing. The one non-negotiable: the master password must be long, unique and never reused.
