What is AirPlay Receiver (Mac)?

AirPlay Receiver lets your Mac act as a wireless screen and speaker for a nearby iPhone or iPad — mirror a phone's display to the Mac or extend presentations without cables.

Toggle it under System Settings → General → AirDrop & Handoff. Restricting it to "Current user" keeps strangers on shared networks from requesting your screen.
