What is Task Manager?

Task Manager shows every running app and background process with its CPU, memory, disk and network usage — and lets you end anything that's frozen.

Open it with Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Its Startup apps tab is the quiet hero: disabling heavy startup entries there is the single most effective fix for a slow-booting Windows PC.
