What is StandBy Mode?

StandBy turns your iPhone into a bedside or desk display while it charges on its side: full-screen clock, calendar, photos or widgets, visible at a glance.

It activates automatically when the phone is charging and horizontal; configure it under Settings → StandBy. On always-on-display models it stays visible all night with a red-tinted night mode.
