What is HDMI-CEC?

HDMI-CEC lets devices control each other over the HDMI cable: your streaming stick's remote turns the TV on, adjusts volume, and pressing play wakes everything in the right order.

Every brand renames it (Samsung Anynet+, LG Simplink, Sony Bravia Sync). Find it in TV settings under HDMI or external inputs — it's the fix when a Fire TV or Chromecast can't switch the TV on.
